In 2002 I started my scientific work in the Chair and Department of Pharmacology with Pharmacodynamics, Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical Academy of Lublin, Poland. In 2008 I obtained a PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, followed by a higher doctoral degree in 2015. Since 2018 I have led the Laboratory of Behavioral Studies. I carry out behavioral studies using rodents and zebrafish. My areas of research include drug addiction and toxicology as well as pharmacological activity of natural compounds. In my work I focus on the evaluation of the central nervous system activity in various aspects (addiction, depression, anxiety and memory-related behaviors). I am a member of the Polish Pharmacological Society and Polish Zebrafish Society. I was involved in the implementation of five projects financed by the National Science Center in Poland (2 as a Principal Investigator, 3 Investigator). I am also a supervisor of three PhD students.
